WHY LEGALLY HERSELF?

"HEY! We're sorry, but we won't be able to publish your work", they said and that's exactly why she pursued Legally Herself. Welcome to this space where all her work makes a cut.

She speaks her mind through words, on Mental Health, law school, laws, life experiences and everything that matters, TO HER. A few contents here might be a little hard-hitting, so proceed with caution, is what she'd say.

HER STORY

We all have a story, and she is no different to it. She wanted to become a lawyer ever since she was in grade 8. 10 years later, she did, but she was devoid of a huge change coming her way! She was a Pandemic Graduate and the job market was not welcoming to her. She envisioned being a Cyber Lawyer and the thought of indulging in any other profession scared her. She did not want to take any career-related risks this early in her life, after all, she was just getting started.

Her first job exposed her to Business Development, Strategy, Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing along with a standard in-house legal role. She found it very interesting and pursued a similar role in her second job, along with legal recruitment. By now, she had started experimenting with career options. It didn't seem as risky as she deemed it to be. It was rather fun.

She quit her second job to pursue a more business inclined role, probably in a different industry altogether. She also wanted to travel and explore places, hence she travelled a lot, post quitting her job. Today, she heads a Practice Development practice for a law firm and has managed to create her own niche in this space. She is still a Lawyer, perhaps much more at this stage.

Here, on this platform, she's Legally Herself, through her experiences and this very uncertain journey she has decided to be a part of.

Stop! Look around. No one's validation really matters!

She liked writing. She wrote a lot. She knew she was good, but something didn't feel enough. She wanted them to tell her she was good but they didn't bother. Now that bothered her! Thus descended self-doubts. Was she really good?

It took her a few rejections to realise she was seeking validation from the wrong places all this while. The only worthy validation was by herself, and that's the whole point of this blog. Here, she is legally herself, where every thought counts.
